Well. I'm Kat. I'm a New Zealander who loves to travel and sing. It feels like only recently (but was in fact over a year ago now) that I returned from 4 1/2 months in the USA. I worked at a summer camp in upstate NY for 10 weeks before travelling down to stay in Westport, CT, commuting in to NYC 3 times a week to take jazz/ballet at the Broadway Dance Center. I travelled around the east coast and also visited Reno before returning to NZ October 24th, 2003.

I'm a musician: singer, pianist, bad guitarist. I write songs and have recorded a demo that will hopefully lead somewhere. One of my main passions is musical theater which made the camp I was at perfect for me - a performing arts camp in New York? What's better?

I have one brother, one sister and 2 nieces. Everyone lives 5 minutes away from my home in NZ.

This past November I auditioned for a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in Perth, Australia. I auditioned in Sydney in 2002 and Melbourne this time, 2003. Both times I got pretty close, but no luck. It's such an incredibly hard school to get into and I gave it my best shot, so I am not upset. I am hoping that before the end of 2004 I be able to return to the US and I am thinking of moving to Canada for a year to work in May 2005. Discovering the world, piece by piece..
