Project One: Music Discovery

Project One: Music Discovery is my plan to, basically, discover as much new music as possible. Wow, that is such a good project title, don't you think?

Each month I am going to either learn/*coughdownloadcough*/buy 3 different musicians/groups:
1) A contemporary artist/group from an era before my time, from 1940 through to the '80s. Preferably of a genre I don't listen to so much (ie. Jazz).
2) An artist/group I've never even heard of before, from any time/genre.
3) An artist/group I've heard of before but never heard.

I want to discover as many singer/songwriters that I've never heard of/haven't heard yet as possible.

Short term goals:

February:

• Contemporary artist from era before my time: Still working on the Neil Young. Looking for something else for this month.
• Artist/group I have never heard of before: Searching.
• Artist I've heard of but never heard: Something for Kate, Jem. Both very good. :)

January:

• Contemporary artist from era before my time: Neil Young. Greatest Hits acquired, ready to listen!
• Artist/group I have never heard of before: Vienna Teng. Downloading free song from Amazon, possibly will purchase the album.
• Artist I've heard of but never heard: Jem. Buying the album tonight.
